Service 237 during snow and ice.
Due to the size of the vehicles used, steep gradients, and damage that could be caused to parked vehicles, service 237 will operate directly along the A57 between Glossop & Hollingworth when snow is on the ground. All other routes will operate normally except in fresh snow. Service 393 offers an alternative service between Hadfield and Glossop town centre.

20 January 2025 until further notice :
The road is blocked between Whaley Bridge & Rainow. Bus services 60 & 60A will run in 2 sections up to the closure area.
Stalybridge regeneration works. In progress.
Between February and August, Trinity Street will be 1-way. The diversion route will be via the "Streetfest" route below.
Daytime works on A6 at New Mills Newtown
DCC are replacing traffic signals at this junction. Temporary signals are in place. This will heavily delay route 61 journeys to/from Buxton.
Car driver fuelling trips
With fuel prices set to rise, there may be delays around access to fuel stations over the coming weeks.
A57 Mottram Moor works - March.
HE have now arranged to keep the A57 at Mottram Moor open throughout. The area will be single lane in both directions until further notice. During the weekend works (Friday evening until Monday morning) the Back Moor junction signals will be turned off and will be replaced by 3-way temporary signals, that will cover the work site at the top of the moor. Drivers of through traffic are asked to take an alternative route, as traffic will stack in each of the 3 directions.
Service 341 may be delayed by extra traffic in Charlesworth & Broadbottom.
A628 and/or Mottram - during 2026.
Overnight work and closures will be taking place between the County boundary and Mottram through 2026. Works are between 1900 & 0600.

Network Rail works 22nd March (until 13:00)
Further works will take place on these days. Services south are replaced by buses until 13:00.
Glossop Heritage Weekend (last weekend in May)
High Street West and Henry Street are expected to be closed again for this event. Bus diversions will be posted nearer the time.
Tour of Tameside, Saturday June 20th.
The Tour will bed itself in Hadfield for a run of the Longdendale trail.. Padfield Main Rd will be blocked with parked cars for this event, although it will not be officially closed. Service 393 may be delayed and/or diverted.

Armentieres Square will be closed for the event from mid-afternoon. Buses cannot serve stops on Acres Lane or the square, and will be diverted via Mottram Rd and Market Street.
The first stops to be observed will be at the junction Waterloo Road / Market Street / Trinity Street.
Football car traffic flows affecting Hollingworth & Mottram.
Traffic along the A628 and 237 route is affected westbound, along with possible delays through Broadbottom on route 341.
Traffic builds up around 2 hours before kick-off. Only the Premiership male games are listed here. Other European cup matches are played and will be listed nearer the time. Female matches are currently not attracting enough road traffic to be listed here.
